This page contains the Terms & Conditions for buying from Catarina Catarino. In accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, these Terms & Conditions are intended to regulate and are fully applicable to the conclusion and formalization of any contract for the purchase and sale / order of Catarina products and articles Catarino.
Please read the Terms & Conditions carefully before ordering any part. You must understand that by purchasing any of our products you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
By placing an order at Catarina Catarino, you warrant that you are at least 18 years old (or have an adult's permission to shop with us) and accept these Terms & Conditions, which apply to all orders placed or to be placed at Catarina Catarino , for the sale or supply of any products. None of these Terms & Conditions affect your legal rights. No other terms or amendments to the Terms & Conditions shall be binding unless agreed and signed by us.
By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree with the above.
Prices
We make every effort to ensure that the prices shown on our website are correct. However, we reserve the right to change them without notice.
The prices of the jewels available in the online store include tax at the rate in force in Portugal (23% VAT).
Deliveries and Orders
When placing an order, the customer assumes and accepts the general conditions of sale, prices and descriptions of the requested items.
After your order has been processed, you will receive the details via email. Shipping time is between 1 to 7 business days, depending on the destination.
All national shipments, to the Islands or international Territory will be carried out via CTT.

Stock
We try to make all jewelry presented in the online store available for fast delivery, 3-5 working days, as stated in our online store. We will always be available to resolve any issue and streamline the entire ordering process.
Declined Shipments & Lost Parcels
If you choose to refuse your order, you will be responsible for any fees that the order may incur and for the cost of shipping it to our address in Portugal. This amount will be deducted from the total refund of your order.
Please carefully check all personal and shipping details when completing your order as Catarina Catarino is not responsible for lost parcels due to an incorrect telephone number, incorrect address or port number.
Claims
We make an effort to respond to all customer complaints or questions within a maximum period of 5 working days.
Force majeure events
Events that occur outside Catarina Catarino's control and that are not foreseeable, must be considered force majeure events, meaning that Catarina Catarino is free of its obligations to comply with contractual agreements.
Payments
Payments can be made via PayPal, MB WAY or Multibanco reference.
The payment process is done in total security through our partner Paypal's website or through Lusopay's payment systems.
All products remain the property of Catarina Catarino until payment is made. The price applied is the one defined on the date you placed the order. Shipping costs and fees will be available before confirming the purchase. If you are under 18 years old, you must have the approval of an adult to buy from Catarina Catarino.
All transactions conducted through Catarina Catarino are handled and transacted by third parties who guarantee your protection. Your card information is not stored and all your card information is transacted using SSL encryption. Please read the terms and conditions of the payment method chosen for the transaction as they will be responsible for the transaction made.
Local taxes
Please note that local taxes (sales tax, customs fees) may apply depending on your region and your local customs duties. These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Exchanges and Returns
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, you must inform us by email contact@catarinacatarino.com within a maximum period of 14 days after receiving it, specifying the reason for the exchange or return.
It is only possible to exchange or return as long as the piece is in the state in which it was purchased and the invoice is presented.
We therefore recommend that you keep the order in the package together with the document. The exchange is only allowed for an item of equal or greater value, in the latter case having to pay the remaining amount.
Exchanges or returns can only be made using the same means of purchase, i.e. purchases made online can only be exchanged or returned online and purchases made in store can only be exchanged in store.
The shipping/collection service for both exchanges and returns is always done via CTT at the expense of the customer.
Catarina Catarino is not responsible for pieces lost by mail or customs.
Personalized products, such as engravings, cannot be returned.
If the exchange is due to a defect in the articles or an error on our part, Catarina Catarino assumes the shipping costs associated with the reshipment of the articles. If you intend to make an exchange, you must send an email as soon as possible to contact@catarinacatarino.com and communicate the will and reason for the exchange.
The buyer is obliged to check all products immediately after the order arrives. If the product received is not the product ordered or the product is inadequate or incomplete, the customer must report these defects immediately via email to contact@catarinacatarino.com.
Exchange process
1. You must inform us only by email contact@catarinacatarino.com within a maximum period of 14 days after receipt together with the invoice number, specifying the reason for the exchange or return.
2. You must wait for our reply.
Warranty
According to the legislation in Portugal, all items have a 2-year warranty, from the date the purchase invoice is issued. However, Catarina Catarino excludes any liability for damage to the articles due to lack of precaution and inappropriate and neglected use.
There are, however, some cases where the guarantee is not applicable:
- Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, creams, perfumes, make-up;
- Discoloration due to exposure to water;
- Fading or natural disappearance of the rhodium bath or gold bath, conditioned by the natural PH of each skin;
- Whenever the customer or third parties have modified or repaired the part;
- Whenever the piece in question has been exposed to adverse conditions or considered abnormal for the proper use of jewellery.
However, if repairs are required, they will have an associated cost.

Fraud
Catarina Catarino reserves the right to cancel and refund any order suspected of fraud in order to guarantee the security of our consumers' transactions through our online services.
Catarina Catarino reserves the right to resort to all solutions provided by law to deal with any violation or disrespect for these Terms & Conditions, including the right to block access to the website/or forward information about transactions to authorities or suppliers of payments. Individuals who violate the restriction of password protected areas on the website may be subject to legal action.
Dealers
Catarina Catarino jewelry is available for purchase in several national and international commercial spaces.
However, the sales policies, prices and Terms & Conditions are not linked to the online store. Catarina Catarino is not responsible for any issue regarding the purchase of branded items in a commercial space other than its own. For any question, you should always contact the store where you purchased the item.
Information
Catarina Catarino reserves the right, on its own initiative, to correct any error or omission in any part of this website without prior notice.
Catarina Catarino may make any other changes to the website, materials and products or services described on Catarina Catarino's website at any time without prior notice. The price of Catarina Catarino products will always be stipulated on our website, except for a typographical error.
In case of an error in the price of any product, we will contact the customer, presenting him with the option of confirming the order with the correct price or canceling it with the due refund. If the customer wishes to refund his order, this will be done using the same payment method as the order.

Contract Termination
Under the terms of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, applicable to contracts concluded at a distance, you have the right to freely terminate a new contract, without giving any reason, within a period of 14 calendar days from the date of order date.
In case you cancel the order and return it within the period indicated above, the payment will be refunded by the same means that you made it, no later than 14 days after we have received your communication and order.
Additional information
Catarina Catarino reserves the right to change any information, including prices, technical specifications, purchase terms and product offerings without prior notice. In the event that a product is out of stock, Catarina Catarino has the right to cancel the order and refund the amount paid in any way the customer wishes. Catarina Catarino must also notify the customer if there are equivalent products.

All personal information that you provide us or that we obtain will be treated by Catarina Catarino as personal information. The information provided is only available to Catarina Catarino and will not be shared with third parties. You have the right to access information held about you. You have the right to request that Catarina Catarino delete or correct the information held about you. By accepting Catarina Catarino's conditions, you agree with the above.
